Festival Fun

Over a year ago I made the decision to continue my education at St Andrews University. I had narrowed my decision down to two universities and I often wonder what my life would have been like had I chosen the other university, Edinburgh University. Some of my closest friends are students through in Edinburgh and I was invited through to stay with one of them this August giving me the chance to experience the life of an Edinburgh student.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city and probably one of my favourite to visit. It seems so regal and grand! There is nothing more delightful than when the sun hits the city and you can look down over the sea. It's bustling with tourists almost all year (fun fact it's the second most visited city in the UK after London) but it's even more busy during the summer due to the Edinburgh Festival. In fact I would say it can sometimes become too busy! The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is the world's largest arts festival which annually takes part in the month of August. There are a huge selection of performances to see, everything from Shakespeare to comedy. We managed to squeeze in a couple of street performances and a performance of 'Sunshine on Leith' which was fabulous!

Here's a couple of snaps of my time in Edinburgh...

Enjoy!

Lots of love, be safe
